I was able to retrieve the following stored trouble codes: U0418 - Implausible Data Received From Brake System Control Module 1.Ok. The start/stop system is controlled by the ECM. It has several criteria that is has to see to enable the start/stop system. 1. The ECM has to see a minimum of 12.7V at the battery monitoring point or the engine will not shut off. 2. When she got home I could smell the strong rotten smell seemed to be coming from the small battery next to the larger battery under the hood.The aux battery in the car is brand new. And the main battery was tested as "good" at Napa auto parts this past Wednesday. That aux definitely looks like it's good if it held 12.8-12.7 a day after charging. It's possible the main is bad.
