So the bottom line according to the article that plan-b posted is the strength of the spark is not affected by the resistor in a resistor type plug and it does cut down on the amount of noise in the spark that can be reflected back into the primary of the coil and then to the electronic module itself and maybe causing damage ...I was wandering what models everyone likes. You can reasonably run 3/8 picco, .325, or 3/8 chain on a 260 depending on what you want to do with it. Personally I like to run bars that are on the short side of my saws' capability, so I generally run 16" bars on 50cc saws.
